Whether to join a network marketing or not has always been a subject of debate. Aspiring entrepreneurs often fall prey to network marketing madness a huge percentage of the time. With this being a usual scenario, the question:
Is Network Marketing Really A Scam?
This question is something worth dissecting… First, let us define what network marketing is all about before you get any scared to continue reading this blog entry.
It is definitely a legitimate business. It is commonly a type of home based business providing people with a genuine way to earn and with products that we all want and need at a really fair price. Definitely, there are millions of people whose lives have changed for the better through a network marketing company but this isn’t and overnight success story. Much of these people’s success in their respective marketing companies are due to their personal dedication and commitment to work it out and a deep understanding and love for their products. Thus, network marketing is no easy game at all. Anyone who joins a network marketing company must sweat out to succeed.
But why then most people fail in network marketing?
Simple. Because they choose to join the wrong network marketing company as a result of grave interest to instant success and shallow understanding of the network marketing company that they are joining in. Chances are they are just being taken advantage of by unscrupulous people who present pretenses and false promises of immediate wealth. Needless to say, they are totally fooled by a non-existent network marketing company, if not a network marketing company employing a pyramid scheme.
So, what must anyone who’s interested to join a network marketing company check first?
The company’s track records (go for a network marketing company that has at least been existing for 7 years of more with positive feedback), its products (do they sell? are they beneficial? are they effective yet affordable?), the up-front investment you are being asked to put out, the compensation plan, and more among others.
Network marketing truly is a feasible way to earn serious amount of cash and gain your much-sought success. However, you must be wary and choose only a proven network marketing company that is dedicated to share its success to committed people like you.

Network marketing is usually a waste of time but a marketing network is very beneficial 🙂
Hi Annetta,
I know for a fact that network marketing is a very lucrative business and one that people should really consider when venturing online. Is it for everyone? Not at all but some of the points you’ve made are so important.
I don’t necessarily think you have to only join a company after seven years of being up and running. You should though check their track record and those of the owners. Speak to a few people and when you hear mostly positive feedback you can be pretty sure that it’s a good one to join.
I know that this is a people business but when you join just because of a friend yet you don’t have that support you are really shooting yourself in the foot here. This is a mistake a lot of people make.
It’s a great business to be in if you take the time to do your research. That I do know for sure.

Hello Annetta,
I think companies, business industries are not bad, people out their working makes industry bad. And same goes for Network marketing.
You need to do intensive research before picking up any company. So, you able to know that company is genuine or trying to get you trapped.
Every business is great in their ways and every business is bad if we see it as bad.
It’s all about research, and how we approach to company. 🙂
Thanks for sharing such informative article. 🙂

I agree with you 50% on this :). There are companies out there which are bad. But you are absolutely right that few rotten apples in a good company can completely give a bad publicity and wipe out all credibility of that company. But in any case, it is your responsibility to do the basic research before entering into any business.

I guess you gained that negative perspective of network marketing on a personal experience or someone else’s experience, but I tell you, it’s worth trying. I can show you what genuine network marketing is. Or how about Internet marketing? Interested? Just send me a private message.
